जाम ले कर मुझ से वो कहता है अपने मुँह को फेर
रू-ब-रू यूँ तेरे मय पीने से शरमाते हैं हम
भर भर के जाम बज़्म में छलकाए जाते हैं
हम उन में हैं जो दूर से तरसाए जाते हैं
ऐसी क़िस्मत कहाँ कि जाम आता
बू-ए-मय भी इधर नहीं आई
ग़ैर लें महफ़िल में बोसे जाम के
हम रहें यूँ तिश्ना-लब पैग़ाम के
जाम है तौबा-शिकन तौबा मिरी जाम-शिकन
सामने ढेर हैं टूटे हुए पैमानों के
एक नग़्मा इक तारा एक ग़ुंचा एक जाम
ऐ ग़म-ए-दौराँ ग़म-ए-दौराँ तुझे मेरा सलाम
हम जाम-ए-मय के भी लब-ए-तर चूसते नहीं
चसका पड़ा हुआ है तुम्हारी ज़बान का
बादा-ओ-जाम के रहे ही नहीं
हम किसी काम के रहे ही नहीं
जाम-ए-इश्क़ पी चुके ज़िंदगी भी जी चुके
अब ‘हिलाल’ घर चलो अब तो शाम हो गई
जाम-ए-शराब अब तो मिरे सामने न रख
आँखों में नूर हाथ में जुम्बिश कहाँ है अब
जाम-ए-अक़ीक़ ज़र्द है नर्गिस के हाथ में
तक़्सीम कर रहा है मय-ए-अर्ग़वाँ बसंत
